Final Thoughts on Paris

This is my last last post on the APA blog! After 4 months, it’s time to wrap up my experience and say my goodbyes.

I’ve been back in the US for a week now and I’ve had a little bit of time to reflect on the end of my stay and my overall time in Paris. It was a challenge, taking me further outside my comfort zone than I imagined. I learned so much — certainly academically by taking classes in another language, but also culturally from my French host parents, friends, and friendly Parisians. Mostly, it was remarkably beautiful, full of great art, an incredible city, vibrant experiences, and new friends.

I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to spend 4 months in Paris. Seeing the world gives you perspective, and it’s something you can’t easily forget.

Au revoir for now Paris! We part as dear friends, and I can’t wait to see you again.
