One month in! Three more to go!

Salut!

Its the start of October, and I’m realizing I’ve been living in France for over a month now, which seems absolutely crazy on one hand, but on the other, it feels like home!

Since my last post, I (along with the rest of the APA students) went to a beautiful concert at Sainte Chapelle, with a string quartet program of Handel, Pachelbel, and Vivaldi! It was such a heartwarming experience and it made me so happy to watch the rest of my non-music student friends here enjoying classical music just as much as I do.

Then on Sunday, my host family and I went to a Rosh Hashanah dinner at one of their neighbors to ring in the Jewish New Year! It was a wonderful experience of cross-cultural celebration and lots of language immersion all in one!

Last night, we had another one of APA’s cultural program events: a dance performance that just so happened to be right across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, with great views of it all evening!

Here’s a hint for what visit we have coming up this weekend: XIV

Until next time,
Calista
