Support

Help when you need it, in and outside of the classroom. Get to know your APA peers during a three-week orientation period held at the beginning of the semester. During this time, students begin the Intensive French Language course to prepare for courses and daily life in Paris. Workshops are organized to introduce the cohort to life in France and guided tours of the city and its neighborhoods are arranged. Throughout the term, APA provides dedicated academic and logistical support.

Academic & Language Support

Follow courses with confidence, knowing that a success system is in place for every student:

  • Methodology workshops
  • One-on-one advising
  • Individual proofreading sessions to review and edit a paper prior to final submission
  • Customized language support: meet individually with the French professor for 30 minutes and one hour separately with a teaching assistant to work on oral expression and written assignments

On-Site Support

The caring and attentive team is here to make sure every student’s time in Paris exceeds expectations. No concern is too small!

  • Airport pickup upon arrival
  • Assistance with purchasing a metro pass
  • Daily needs: support with purchasing a French cell phone, finding a doctor, or opening a bank account
  • Personal liability insurance
