Housing

Paris could be a place where you live for a semester or it could become your new home. Discover what will become your favorite café or your favorite park, and become an expert navigator of your neighborhood or, arrondissement. Two housing options are available. Both will provide immersion in French life yet each one offers very different experiences.

Homestay

Students often claim that their homestay is the highlight of their time in Paris! The APA staff takes seriously their job of pairing students with the best possible host family. Students move in with their host families three days after their arrival in Paris in order to allow the APA staff to confirm the best match has been made.

Each French host is carefully interviewed by our staff who evaluates their background, location, accommodations, as well as their willingness to welcome and integrate a foreign student into their daily lives. Only one student is paired with each host to ensure an authentic and high-quality French living experience.

Continue to customize your stay in Paris with your housing meal plan. All homestays offer students a private bedroom, daily breakfast, and weekly laundry. Meal plans do not cover school holidays and breaks.

Homestay Option 1: with daily breakfast and five dinners per week

Homestay Option 2: with daily breakfast and three dinners per week

Student Residence

Only a five-minute walk from APA in the 14th arrondissement, the CLJT Foyer Didot houses a mix of university students and young professionals. Each student has a private, furnished bedroom and bathroom. Residents take their meals in a communal dining space and there is a kitchen available to prepare your own meals.

Depending on availability, APA also partners with an all-female residence, located behind Notre Dame Cathedral on Ile Saint Louis, that hosts single and double-occupancy rooms.

APA provides a linen kit and stipend for weekly laundry.
