Academics

The coastal city of Rabat, Morocco provides the backdrop for this intensive, six-week summer study of the Arabic language. Intermediate and Advanced Arabic learners are led by knowledgeable professors through daily lessons designed to refine oral and written comprehension and expression. Combined with individual, dedicated language support sessions, improvements are made in no time!

To complement the language course, students choose one elective, also taught in Arabic. Each course offering provides an enriching and informative discussion on the unique aspects of Maghrebi civilization. Are there unfamiliar words spoken in the medina? Darija, the Moroccan dialect of Arabic, is widely spoken around town. Benefit from a weekly, 60-minute class to learn key words and phrases that differ from the standard.

Not ready to head home? With the program's two-week extension, students can prolong their stay in Rabat and volunteer at a NGO.
