Culture

Culture, community, and connection are at the heart of the Paris–Rabat experience. Through guided visits, performances, workshops, guest lectures, and immersive travel, students engage directly with the histories, traditions, and everyday life of both cities. Language-in-context activities and exchanges with local communities deepen understanding of France–North Africa connections, while regional excursions bring course themes into dialogue with place.

Cultural Events

Program includes 2 cultural performances in Paris and 1 in Rabat. Scheduled events in the past have included (not limited to):

  • Theater or Dance performance
  • Tasting and cooking class
  • Concerts
  • Hip-Hop, traditional, and modern dance class

Outings

  • Guided tour of the Marais with historian and other neighborhood visits
  • Museum and NGO visits
  • Day Trips to:
    • Versailles
    • Casablanca

Weekend Excursions

  • Marseille and its surrounding Côte Bleue while in France
  • Tangier and Tétouan while in Morocco

Academic Excursions

Beyond the classroom, students are able to attend conferences, expos, meet guest lecturers and visit areas in France and Morocco with staff and language assistants, Examples:
