The Start of Something New!?

[Sorry for the cheesy title, but come on we were all thinking it…]

ANYWAYS, hello from Paris and your new blogger! My name is Lydia, and I’m a junior at the George Washington University in DC majoring in History.

APA’s Fall 2016 class arrived in Paris two weeks ago today: 10 girls from four different schools in the US (Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, Brandeis, and George Washington). We’ve completed our orientation program and have commenced the daunting task of choosing our French courses from several universities across the city. In the past two weeks, we settled into our homestays, visited museums, went to 2 concerts, walked miles, mastered the metro, and got to know each other and our new city. I can’t wait to see where the rest of this semester takes us.

I’m better at pictures than words, so I’ll leave you with some pretty Paris sights from our first days here. 🙂
