Housing

There are so many fantastic neighborhoods in Paris that most visitors to the city don't often see. APA housing accommodations allow students to live as Parisians live and experience the city off the well-worn tourist path. Take a stroll through the Bois de Boulogne park with a host sibling or grab a bite to eat with local students from the student residence. One thing is for certain: a stay in a hotel will never be the same!

Choose from two housing options for your stay in Paris.

Homestay

The most popular housing option among our students is a homestay. And for good reason! A welcoming host family gives an authentic, inside look into what daily life is like in this new culture.

Evaluated not only for their accommodations and location, APA thoroughly vets every homestay for their background and openness to actively host an international student. Each homestay pairing is made after careful review of students’ housing questionnaires that are submitted during the pre-departure period.

All host families welcome one student and provide a private bedroom with linens, access to common areas including the kitchen to prepare meals and snacks, and weekly laundry. All homestays understand and speak English.

Homestay Option 1: Includes daily breakfast and five dinners per week

Homestay Option 2: Includes daily breakfast and three dinners per week

Student Residence

A foyer, or student residence, welcome not only university undergraduates and graduate-level students but also young professionals 25 and younger. APA partners with foyers throughout the city including a traditional co-ed location, an all-female building, and a campus-style setting.

All locations provide furnished bedrooms, common areas to meet your neighbors, and communal kitchens to prepare food.

Availability at each foyer fluctuates and we cannot guarantee a room at any location. Meal plans, room occupancy (single or double), and building amenities differ; further details are provided during the pre-departure period.
